Open Question: So in my search for the Unicorn peeks in Australia..?
I got lost and found myself on an unknown path. My GPS didn't recognize it since we were out of America. And I pondered "What would Batman do?" And as I hiked I came to the conclusion that he would just be sexy and do his thing, but knowing that I lacked the latter I went to the village of gnomes in Guatemala but as a sandstorm rose it threatened the village and all its people. "Oh my!" said the 4th generation Guatemalan Korean Gnome, the leader of the Guatemalan Korean Gnome Foundation of Scholars for the 8th office, "How will we ever survive a sandstorm without proper Vick's Vaporrub?" And then it hit me like a revelation but BIGGER. BAM! Right on the right side of the brain. Atletico de Madrid would win the Champions League and La Liga in the2010/ 2011 season. And so i whipped out my portable everlasting supply of Vick's Vaporrub -- since the gnomes only had the CVS generic brand, which isn't as effective-- and shared it with the gnomes. And so after 4 days and 3 nights of getting drunk on NyQuil, I left, but I as a legend. I went on to go to Ireland The Land of Gold, Rainbows, Grass, Leprechauns, and UNICORNS. Moral of the Story: Atletico Madrid will win the CL and La Liga in 2010/2011 and it's always important to have NyQuil and Vick products in general
Resolved Question: Your thoughts on Super League's new "State of Origin"?
Former Great Britain coach Phil Larder has called for England's mid-season match with France to be scrapped and replaced by a fixture against a side made up of Super League-based Australians. Larder believes that would provide England with better preparation for their end of season matches with Australia and New Zealand, the leaders in international rugby league. "Mid-season internationals against France and Wales are not the kind of games that will make our young stars battle-hardened," Larder said. "They need to be subjected to the pressures that only playing regularly against the best will give." Larder believes such a match would create an intensity similar to the one Australia enjoy with their State of Origin series and he said Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown should coach the selected side. "A young and talented Australian coach, like Nathan Brown, given control of a team of his own countrymen would be surely motivated to create the kind of intensity that we see annually in the State of Origin," said Larder. "There are some exceptional Australians playing in Super League and the ones I have spoken to would love to be involved in these clashes and promise to hold nothing back as long as the games were promoted properly." Will it help England become a better team or is it just a waste of time versing these "B-Grade" Aussies? Should France try and stop this from happening? If this goes through, will it attract more current NRL players to go over there? Will it ever generate the same intensity as our State of Origin? Share your thoughts and opinions. When I say "B-Grade" its not meant to offend, everyone knows how much I look up to Aussie players. What I mean is that out of all the Australians playing in the Super League, only 1 or 2 would be able to make it into the Kangaroos squad- so the Kangaroos are the "A-Grade team" - and the SL Australians would be the "B-Grade" team Nothing wrong with that. Okay people are taking too much time worrying about my "B-Grade" comment, it wasn't meant the way you are all taking it so dont let it be the talking point lol

Open Question: Spiritually speaking: What should I wear to a casual dinner party?
The party is meant for this group of activists on a recent rally that changed a city ordinance. I was at the rally, and was invited by the leader of the rally. The dinner party is going to have about 100 people. The thing is, though, that I don't wear make-up, or have long hair, it's kinda short, actually. What should I wear? I have pretty much any normal american clothing imaginable. I have everything from white T-shirt, and blue Jeans, to formal dress, and heels.

Open Question: Haven't you ever thought of your opinion on Killing Apostates of Islam do you fear God or do you?
Seriously. Its one of the many misconceptions of Islam ''Submission to God''. Watch the youtube video and you will know what I am talking about. All of those Apostates who were killed by Prophet Muhammad and his companions were not killed for Apostatsy alone they at the same time fought the Muslims. But even if they repented(not out of force) to Islam they were still killed. all those who accepted Killing Apostates of Islam actually misunderstood the Hadiths. Anyway Islam teaches muslims to deal justly with the non muslims even though the Quran may condom Apostates, Polythesists, Jews and Christians to Hellfire in this world and the next. For us muslims it is not for us to punish them for their Disbelief so you have to leave this to God for he will deal with them. But in certain cases where we get severly hurt by a them or should I say some individuals then we will deal with them according to the Islamic law. By the way the Islamic law is not to be enforced but by the Leader of the Islamic country according to Islamic law. Watch the youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_oKXh2oy8E ''Let there be no complusion in religion. Guidance has been made clear from MisGuidance. Whoever rejects Falsehood and Believes in God has just grasped the hand hold which will never Break. God is the all-hearing all-knowing'' {Cow 2:256} ''Because of that(Account of Cain and Abel) We ordained for the Children of Israel that whoever kills a person unless it be for murder or mischief in the land it would be as if he killed all of Mankind and Whoever saves a life it would be as if he saved all of Mankind. Then although there came to them Our Messengers with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them committed excesses in the land" {Table 5:32} "God does not forbid you from dealing Justly with those who have not either fought you over Religion or expelled you out your homes. God loves those who are Just" {Examined Woman 60:8} "He(God) has only forbidden you from dealing Justly with those who have either fought you over Religion or have expelled you out of your homes or supported the expelling of you out your homes. Whoever turns to them for he is of the Wrongdoers" {Examined women 60:9}
Open Question: Which of the Planeteers are Best? Worst?
On the telivision show captain planet there are a group of kids known as the planeteers. I am asking you right here right now which one is the best, and which is the worst? The planeteers are: Kwame Kwame is the Planeteer in charge of "Earth". He is voiced by LeVar Burton of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Roots, and Reading Rainbow fame. Kwame is from Africa; most likely from Ghana, as his name is Twi for "Born on Saturday". Raised on the savannah, he spent much time working to keep the land from becoming a desert by planting trees. It was during this activity that he discovered his magic ring. Kwame became the Planeteer who can control the power of earth, able to manipulate the ground to create earthquakes, landforms, and craters, though only to a certain extent. Kwame's personal specialty seems to be sustainability, especially in agriculture and other uses of land, as well as human rights. He has strong convictions and a 'big-picture' way of thinking which lends perspective to the other Planeteers. While outwardly serious, he has a spontaneous deadpan sense of humour, and like Gi and Ma-Ti, he was no stranger to environmental crises before becoming a Planeteer. His solemnity and deliberate attitude may also give rise to his character flaws: he possesses limited grace under pressure (evasive flying of the Geo-Cruiser causes him great distress) and he can be impatient with others: Wheeler's ignorance of the origins of ivory jewelery in "Last of Her Kind" upset him greatly, and in the aptly-named episode "Kwame's Crisis", his exasperation at people's apathy in the face of pollution caused him to almost leave the Planeteers in despair. He also has a slightly odd fondness for B sci/fi-action films, possibly due to their sheer novelty, although nature thrillers ('Jaws' etc.) offend his sensibilities. Kwame is considered the leader of the Planeteers when they are in action. Though he has no established authority, he bears typical qualities of leadership and usually makes decisions that the others follow. When summoning Captain Planet, Kwame always starts the procedure by stating "Let our powers combine." Wheeler Wheeler is the Planeteer who controls "Fire". From the United States of America, specifically the borough of Brooklyn in New York City. He is voiced by Joey Dedio. He is somewhat aware of martial arts and other techniques for handling tough situations, primarily from movies and television. Wheeler received his ring when he attempted to fight a small group of street thieves; during the fight, a tongue of flame gave him the ring of fire. While the others were chosen for their environmental activism, Gaia chose Wheeler for his short temper and attitude, the fighting spirit of the team. Wheeler had a difficult home life: while close to his mother, he fought with his strict but dissolute father, Nick, and ran away from home at least once, being accepted into the society of other runaways. This situation is visited in the fourth season of the series, when they finally reconcile. By this time, Wheeler's father had suffered severe liver problems due to a lifetime of drinking. It is later revealed that in the past, Wheeler had close ties with Trish, one of those who followed the leadership of Verminous Skumm during his time as a ganglord. He is also very muscular, shown in "Population Bomb" and "Never the Twain Shall Meet" With his powers, Wheeler is able to send out projectiles of flame and create small fires nearby; he can also use his power like a laser beam, to cut ropes or melt locks. They represent Wheeler's hot nature; typically small and effective, though they can end up raging out of control and consuming everything in the area. For the most part, Wheeler is rather sensible, his action-readiness not over emphasized. Wheeler makes no secret of his romantic interest in Linka, and frequently makes brash and often tactless advances to her. Although Linka ostensibly does not share those feelings, she does come to care for Wheeler, even if she is not willing to admit it. Wheeler was often portrayed as the cynic of the team, as well as the one who would often know the least about environmental issues, a trait which critics of the show like to point out, saying that Wheeler's actions give the impression that most Americans are apathetic about environmental issues until said issues directly affect them. By the time of the New Adventures episodes, these qualities were eliminated, showing Wheeler to be smarter than before. Since the series' audience was largely American, Wheeler most often served the role of audience proxy, with his point of view often being privileged. He is usually the one who asks questions that the audience needs answering, or expresses misconceptions that the episode is dealing with. In "Population Bomb", "Two Futures", and "Numbers Game" especially his dream sequences illustrate ideas that a normal episode structure cannot accommodate. Linka L

Resolved Question: deadly fruit funny joke?
One day in the forest, 3 guys were just hiking along a trail when all of a sudden, a huge pack of indians attaked them and knocked them out. When they woke up, they were at the leader of the tribe's throne. The chief then said "All of your lives may be spared if you can find ten of one fruit and bring them back to me." So after a while the first man returned with 10 apples. The cheif then ordered him to stick all ten of them up his butt without making any expression at all on his face. He had a little bit of trouble with the first one and started crying while trying to put the next one in. He was soon killed. Later, the next guy came in with 10 grapes. The cheif soon ordered him to do the same as the first guy. After to the 9th grape, the man started laughing so hard for no apperant reason, and was killed. The first two guys soon met in heaven and the first guy ask the second, "Why did you start laughing? You only needed one more grape and you'd have gotten away!" The second guy answered while still laughing, "I couldn't help it. I saw the third guy walking in with pineapples."
Open Question: Why didn't the movie, "Thirteen Days" show the negotiation the US made of removing US missiles in Turkey?
The main reason USSR was putting missiles in Cuba was a deterrence for the US having put missiles in Turkey. Turkey borders Russia. One of the option then was that the United States should offer the Soviet Union a deal. In return for the Soviet Union dismantling her missiles in Cuba, the United States would withdraw her nuclear missiles from Turkey and Italy. Khrushchev sent Kennedy a letter. In this he proposed that the Soviet Union would be willing to remove the missiles in Cuba in exchange for a promise by the United States that they would not invade Cuba. The next day a second letter from Khrushchev arrived demanding that the United States remove their nuclear bases in Turkey. While the president and his advisers were analyzing Khrushchev's two letters, news came through that a U-2 plane had been shot down over Cuba. The leaders of the military, reminding Kennedy of the promise he had made, argued that he should now give orders for the bombing of Cuba. Kennedy refused and instead sent a letter to Khrushchev accepting the terms of his first letter. Khrushchev agreed and gave orders for the missiles to be dismantled. Eight days later the elections for Congress took place. The Democrats increased their majority and it was estimated that Kennedy would now have an extra twelve supporters in Congress for his policies. The Cuban Missile Crisis was the first and only nuclear confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union. The event appeared to frighten both sides and it marked a change in the development of the Cold War. Some of the direct consequences of the crisis include the following: (1) The two sides established a direct communications link that became known as the Hot Line. It was hoped that this would help prevent dangerous confrontations such as the Cuban Missile Crisis arising again. Three months after the Cuban Missile Crisis the United States secretly removed all its nuclear missiles from Turkey and Italy.

Open Question: What do you think of my persuasive essay?
Homework? Yes, Please. Homework is for squares. As if eight hours of school is not hard enough, students get home and find that there is more work to be done! After a hard day’s work, students should be able to relax and enjoy the nice weather. But instead, they are trapped in the house spending hours and hours on something that may or may not be counted as a grade. Although it may disrupt students’ lives outside of school, homework can be quite useful. In fact, homework is just what students need. Homework has the ability to improve academic performance. According to Viadero, studies show that kids who do more homework perform better academically. Even though the assignment might not be taken up for a grade, students should still do the work and check their answers in class. Homework allows students to practice and solidify the new concepts learned in school through practice at home (Wagner). If a student attempted to do his or her homework, but was unsuccessful, it would still help the student in identifying his or her weak points. These weak points can be resolved through tutoring with the teacher. For instance, if a student does not do the assigned synthetic division problems that were assigned for homework, she may not figure out that she had been doing one step of the process incorrectly until the day the test was returned graded. She might want to retake the test, but the teacher does not give retakes. It pays on test days to go the extra mile. Of course, homework may not always fit into students’ tight schedules. One concern is kids these days are too busy to do homework (Frerking 8). According to Frerking, kids barely have any idle time to just “sit under a tree and think about things" (8). Some students have sports to practice, chores to do, pets to feed, and friends to keep up with. How can they juggle all of these activities while managing to find time to do homework? To remedy this, students can plan. According to Schouten, students should “set aside time” in a good learning environment, such as the library, to do homework. Writing in the school-provided agenda helps students to organize their free periods, such as study hall, for home-working. Students will succeed in school if they get all the practice needed. Smart, innovative students will result in a better future for everyone. The cure for cancer or the reversal to global warming may even be discovered! If the world is to keep moving forward technologically, then students must continue to do their assigned homework. Students today will be the leaders of tomorrow. i don't know, but the teacherr said that we use the oppositions arguments in the introduction to add credibility and then you can state your position. my position was that i'm for homework.
Resolved Question: How do I not get sick around a contagious person?
I was at a bible study earlier this evening. As I arrived, I found out that the leader's son (around 6 years old) was sick. He did not stop vomiting the rest of the night. They called the doctor and the doctor said that there was a lot of other kids from the same school sick, and they had the idea it was food poisoning. This is what I was led to believe, so I wasn't too concerned. However, the grandparents were supposedly sick, with similar symptoms. This concerned me greatly because I am a germaphobe freak. We are still not sure if the poor kid has a bad case of food poisoning or an actual stomach flu. I came home, and practically scrubbed my skin off in the shower with anti-bacterial soap (twice!). I can't STAND throwing up. They tried to keep the kid confined in one room, but I was only one room away. I'm terrified! Especially because for the next three weeks, I am babysitting for them!! Is there ANYTHING I can do to be certain I don't get sick? (Other than washing my hands and keeping a safe distance?) Please help :( I'm scared!

Open Question: I wrote thisQuick read, some criticism please?
Prologue It's my mother's fault I'm dead. Well, that's not entirely true. I'm dead in a sense, but not completely. You see, when I was born to her, she was a member of the cult "Death's Associates". She was a worshiper of death in hope that he would love her and the rest of the cult more and would have mercy on them so that they would not die. How stupid they were. Death doesn't know what love or mercy are. All he knows is greed and pain. Even being a small child I was not so ignorant, but my mother was caught up in it all, or rather, brainwashed. She was like a robot, following the orders of the leader not steeping out of line, never speaking her opinion. I'm not sure she even had one anymore. For as long as I can remember the leader and his priests told everyone what to do. When I was younger, and still had a will of my own, I broke the rules by asking why the leader was in charge. I was promptly beaten, but still had not learned my lesson. A few years later I asked my mother who my father was. She sat me on her knee and patted down my big blonde curls. "Juliet," she began, "Your father is a very important man. He gave me the privilege of producing new life, which he and I knew was very dangerous." I turned my head to the side and played with her silver bracelet. "But why is it dangerous?" "Death is not a fan of life. We must abide to his wishes if we are to hope to gain the gift of immortality." "My Dad had the power to defy death?" My mother's face became dark. She looked around our hut and outside our window to make sure no one was listening. Or watching. Then she whipped her head around and slapped me. "Don't talk like that again! If death hears you and thinks that we are arrogant enough to assume we are above him, he'll smite us all!" I began to cry and she dumped me off her lap. "Go help the other girls collect water now Juliet. I don't have time for your stupidity right now. Pray Death doesn't drown you when you lean over the bank." I stopped crying and picked myself up. What would she care if Death drowned me? She'd rejoice because it wasn't her it happened to she would! I didn't drown though. I drew the water from the stream and brought it back to our hut so that we could bathe. My mother didn't thank me or acknowledge that I had come home. She didn't apologize for smacking me earlier, so I didn't apologize for saying what I had. She still hadn't answered my question either. In fact, after that incedent, we pretty much ignored each other for the next 6 months. We went about our lives, doing our chores, worshiping in the temple, and going to school. Then I turned eight. The leader of our cult had a vision of the apocalypse. He told us the only way to appease Death, he told us that a sacrifice must be found. A human sacrifice. My mother did nothing to stop them from taking me. She probably thought it would make Death more fond of her. Idiot. They, the cult members, took me to a great stone that had been placed in the center of our community. I remember the strange shapes carved into it, possibly some ancient language. Possible chisel marks. I remember the feel of gravel under my back as I was dragged out of my hut in the middle of the night. But most of all, I remember the silence. Nobody stepped forward and told our leader that they thought he was crazy, no one tried to rescue me. My mouth was gagged so I certainly couldn't say anything. Two of the leaders most honored priests held my arms and legs so tightly I thought they would break. And then I was tied down onto the stone. A shiver ran down my back at the cold of the rock. I began to cry but my sobs were muffled by the rag. Not that crying solved the matter. The leader and his goons began to circle me chanting in a strange language that would start the rite. Then they stopped. The leader pulled out a long, sharp knife. It glinted in the sunlight casting an eerie shine to his face. The leader knelt down beside my neck and raised it. And then he brought it down. Chapter 1 "No. No more. You can't make me." "Yes I can Juliet," Death whispered in my ear, running a bony finger across the scar on my neck. "I control you. You are mine. Forever." A tear ran down my cheek. I didn't want to. I hated doing Death's dirty work. I hated the look on my victim's faces right before I murdered them. The look of betrayal. I was supposed to be their friend, wasn't I? Why was I pushing them in front of the train? Why was I smothering them? The answer was, I had to. Death made me. But I couldn't tell them that. They were dead before the question could pass their lips. "This is the last one though. Okay?" I asked quietly. "Possibly forever is a long time, I might just change my mind." Death slipped into the shadows that surrounded me, only his scythe could be seen gleaming in the dark. "It's a young one this time. You're going to be about five, so I suggest not murdering them. It will make the humans suspicious, and we don't want another Tampa indecent. Do we?" I shook my head slowly. "Good. Now get out of my sight." He turned and left. I slowly started to dematerialize , one particle at a time. I closed my white eyes as my eyelashes turned into a glittery dust and went to wherever dust was sending me. I secretly hoped that this wasn't my last assignment. I desperately wanted to be the one to murder the man who was the leader of the cult "Death's Associates" and if it wasn't me, I wanted to watch. It's supposed to be, and went wherever Death was sending me. not wherever dust was sending me. Yes Cocao, she's gonna kill the kid. She's gonna go back to death, and then she's going to be sent on her final assignment. To a high school. :) She'll be set free after this one, but there's one little problem She's in love with her victim. At the end OHMYGOSH the ending I already wrote it, and it ROCKS! I have this huge plot twist in the middle, wherewell, you'll find out.

Benito Mussolini was the leader of italy during ww2
Open Question: Is this a good greek mythology storyline?
This is a story I'm writing and I would like to know what you guys think. It is going to sound alot like that new movie with the gods but I have been had this idea from 4 years ago, before everyone else was all over the god's nuts. I need some opinions and I know it's pretty long but bear with me. So without further wastes of time, let us begin the plot. Adonis Long before the gods ruled the world, the titans controlled humanity. They ruthlessly killed and toyed with these humans, destroying and harassing their world. The major titans; earth, wind, fire, and water, one day create a being known simply as "Chaos." Chaos, became a ultimate being more wise than the other titans. He created twelve other beings in his view of perfection. The created beings became known as the gods. These gods quickly overpowered the titans as they believed them to be too foolish and barbaric. The gods then turn on their creator chaos, defeating and sealing him into a mountain. Mount Olympus. Later the gods rule the humans in peace. Zeus becomes the leader of the gods, while his equal Hades becomes jealous. Hades then breaks the cardinal rule amongst the gods; he interferes with human kind. He is banished to the underworld and loses half of his power as punishment. He vows revenge among the gods if it is the last thing he will do. Years later the nation of Greece is a empire. This is all because of one person, and his name is Adonis. Since his birth, Adonis has been unable to die and was far different from his counterparts. He quickly excelled through the ranks of the Greek army until he was declared the leader of the greek army at the age of 23. He marries the woman of his dreams and everything is looking bright for him. That is until one day he comes across a cave that has been haunting him in his dreams. He enters only to be sucked into a portal to the underworld. There he meets Hades who informs him that he is his son. Hades made Adonis' great, great, great grandmother sell over the soul of the child of Hades choice in order to save her father's life. He has chosen Adonis as his avenger, as he has already given him some of his abilities since child birth. He threatens Adonis, that if he does not do his bidding then he will take his mother' and wife's souls as payment. Adonis reluctantly agrees and becomes Hades bounty hunter in the world of gods. Adonis is quickly overwhelmed by the world he has now entered. He must kill Zeus and break the seal of Chaos in order to save his family. The only way to slay a god is to enter Mt. Olympus, and enter their personalized realms where each is unique to each god. In the end, Adonis defeats Zeus, giving Hades his full power back. Hades then unites with Chaos becoming a living realm. The gods try fighting the unstoppable Hades only for them to be defeated. Adonis knowing that he is the only one immune to Hades power then fights him. He eventually seals Hades back into the underworld saving Mt. Olympus. Adonis is then granted the complete power as a god. He is also punished by Zeus for his hand he has played in the destruction of Mt. Olympus. He is punished by being banished to the underworld. There he must collect souls for eternity, thus becoming known as "the grim reaper". Thus ending the story of Adonis. I want Adonis to be a very human character with morals, who struggles to do his job and is very reluctant. In the end he admits to giving into his fantasies of war and power while fighting the gods. Sooooo, that is the main idea. I'm sorry it's so long and kind of confusing at times, but I need some helpful opinions. Sooooo, can you guys pitch some feedback?
Open Question: How do I concentrate on reading?
I just started reading Lord Of The Flies, and I can't concentrate at all. I read the first chapter, but didn't get anything out of it. Only the few things I read over 1,000 times, but most of the time I just wanted to get the just of it and did some speed reading. But I don't like doing that. At a normal pace, if I can concentrate, I read at about 1 minute a page, or less (less as in 30 seconds or more, but usually never exceeding a minute unless I can't concentrate). I have what I'd like to call "depersonalization" (if you've never heard of it, google). I'm not saying this officially, but this is the only way I can describe it. EVERYDAY for a year or so, I've had this unreal feeling. Most of the time I can ignore it, but sometimes, like now, it just smacks me in the face. I honestly don't feel like I'm typing because I want to right now. I'm "thinking" of the words, and my fingers move. I'm actually supposed to go to the therapist/psychiatrist/something to figure it out, among other things. But for now, I want to read. I'm actually reading another book, and I didn't have a lot of problems with concentration. Although there was here and there when I had to read things over to grasp it. But for the most part, if I don't think about it, it just happens. But with LOTF, I can't. My mind is going, and the words are floating in the air. Half of the time I just gave up and started skimming paragraphs. So far I got: -The boy with fair hair, 12 years old, Ralph, Apparently he's ok with being naked. -Piggy (what was his real name?) Asthma, glasses, unpopular. -They meet (although I'm not sure why or how) -They are apparently stranded on an island, and one of their dads is in the navy. They think he's going to rescue them, something about a bomb too. -They find a conch -Ralph fails at blowing it a few times -It finally works, and people show up -There's this boy with red hair and freckles, jack. -The group of people that show up decide to make Ralph the leader, making jack a bit frustrated, but he also has a "shy" liking with Ralph. And then the rest is blurred Something about creepers? Blood? Candles? A knife jammed into a tree? Blurred. I tell you, I missed out on most of it. The details I wrote were small things I remembered that were scattered through 6 pages or so. Chapter 1 is about 30 pages. Is it because it's a school assignment to read it? But I really do want to read it.
Open Question: what do you think about childhood obesity?
I remember once in elementary school, we did this cool field trip into Yosemite, and let me tell you, it was an absolute disaster. Now, I was in this charter program, Nature Academy, and we go on hikes in the woods behind our school. The flier advertised a day long one and a half mile hike. We were confused, we thought they must have messed up, because that was way to short for a whole day. We called and asked and they confirmed the length of the hike. Now we thought it was funny, we laughed about how we could be back before breakfast. Anyway, we got there, and we met these really nice class from New York NY we spent a night with them, talking about what life was like there and what it was like here. A lot of fun, come the day of the hike, we were really excited, knowing we were clearly going to climb some rock faces, or maybe play in a river. we didn't. I swear, every twenty steps to sit down or something. The hike leaders kept having us sit in a circle and "marvel" at the redwoods. I thought this was funny. we grew up in them, so seeing someone "marvel" at them was hilarious. But it got boring. Really boring. We kept begging our teachers to go ahead, and they kept asking the leaders to go faster, but to no avail. Even worse, this other class would NOT stop complaining. They kept asking for a break, or shouting at each other, or whining about their twisted ankle. Ugh. That memory still annoys me. I mean, if it weren't for their ipod thingies, we wouldn't have gotten any peace. After that, we tried to politely avoid them, but the week was miserable. What made me mad most was that these kids were so obese and unfit. (i'm sorry, but if you can't walk a mile without a break, your unfit) and they didn't do it to themselves, they've grown up in an environment that doesn't know of a home-cooked meal, or of sweet iced tea, or of fresh bread from a farmers market. I swear, I could not find a fresh organic anything in the entire city of NY. I felt bad for them, because they are eating themselves to death. Anyway, thanks for listening, sorry it's a lot.

Open Question: Help me analyze a poem?
I have an assignment where I need to analyze a Mennonite poem.. The one I picked (the easiest?) is "A Family History" by Julia Kasdorf: At dusk the girl who will become my mom must trudge through the snow, her legs cold under skirts, a bandanna tight on her braids. In the henhouse, a klook pecks her chapped hand as she pulls a warm egg from under its breast. This girl will always hate hens, and she already knows she won't marry a farmer. In a dim barn, my father, a boy, forks hay under the holsteins' steaming noses. They sway on their hooves and swat dangerous tails, but he is thinking of snow, how it blows across the gray pond scribbled with skate tracks, of the small blaze on its shore, and the boys in black coats who skate hand-in-hand round and round, building up speed until the leader cracks that whip of mittens and arms, and it jerks around fast, flinging off the last boy. He'd be that one--flung like a spark trailing only his scarf. I think I understand the last part about crack the whip, and how he kind of dreams of getting away, and how the girl says she won't marry a farmer, even though she eventually does.. If anyone has any other ideas about what anything else could mean, it'd be greatly appreciated. :)

Open Question: 4 month old great dane showing fearfulness and aggression?
Hi purchased a 4 month old great dane puppy Sunday today is Tuesday he came from a reputable breeder and has been socialized with small children, cats, other dogs, cows you name it. the breeder talks very highly of the puppies. Sunday when I got him he acted timid and scared and the whole point of me getting him was to be therapy certified both of his parents are loving and affectionate adult dogs with a sweet disposition. He was scared to get out of the car we had to pick him up he was scared to go through the door in tnto the house had to pick him up since everything was all new to him. Finally me and my Gf started playing with him and he was fine just followed her everywhere and would whine when she would leave the room hes been pottying outside and can sit and lay down walks well on a leash. Monday I picked up my 4 year old son and my gf had the puppy outside he came up to us and everything was fine he met my son for the first time and was licking his hands then he coward in between my gf legs and my son gently pet his back and I noticed when he was walking over to him he was growling and when my son pet him he howled and cried and growled it seemed at one time and of course scared my son and my gf took the dog inside then my son stayed with me until I unloaded groceries and I went into the living room while my son was using the restroom and he was beside my gf feet and started a deep growl at me!! She corrected him and when my son came out of the bathroom he growled at him in a way he could attack so then I put my son upstairs and a movie came back down he growled at least 4 more times at me and she corrected it everytime then he would come up to me when I was sitting down acting just fine but following my Gf around and whining when she was not present. I called my breeder that night terrified that he might bite one of us at only 4 months he shouldnt be acting like this. She was very surprised and not so happy about it shes been breeding for 10 yrs and not once had a puppy act like this. SHe said since he was an older pup maybe he is depressed and feeling sensitive but she said danes dont tend to be aggressive especially since he was well socialized he never growled at his litter mates, 2 yr old child, or the 8 year old child she said she had a 15 week female that she would swap if I wanted from a diffrent litter and has an outgoing personality and isnt fearful. That if I wanted to give him a couple of days that she would even work with him if we didnt want the female or refund the money. She also said to have me get him on a leash and make him stay by my side and have my son easily work with him as well under supervision hes picking my gf as the leader since shes there more than me. So we had 3 friends come over last night and he hid behind my gf's feet scared the whole time and fine with the females but growled at the male and he wasnt scared so he scooted a toy with his foot and the GD puppy went to bite him and growled and then growled 3 more times that night at him..so this morning me and my son went to get him out of the crate and he growled at my son again I in a deep stern voice said no and he didnt do it again my son gave him a treat although he was pacing and and whining I believe it was bc my Gf was asleep and wasnt in his sight but he went up to my son and me we all played and took the pup out for potty and he was fine although my son sat in his new john deer toy vehicle and the dog was barking at him. I dont know what to do but I believe its in our best intrest to get the female or work with this one since he is so timid and showing signs of aggressivness??? Im just concerned I dont want him to bite nobody and we corrected him each time by pulling the skin on the back of his neck but it doesnt phase him also in his crate which he has been crate trained since he was born whines, bited the cage, barks, howls, sings in it and finally goes to sleep. Open Question: Whats it called when a person in power starts enforcing a law before it is in effect. (Read below)?
I can't remember. Say, the leader of a town said that everyone has to start wearing black shirts everyday, and they have a week to ensure that they wear black shirts. And after that week, you will get kicked out of town for not having a black shirt on. However, the day after making the announcement (before the week time period has expired), he sees someone wearing a green shirt. He proceeds to kick them out. What is this called? I need to know what the leader is violating, or what the action of him violating it is called.

Open Question: Polls say hung parliament? Will all corrupt MPs be taken to a place of execution? Hung by the neck till dead?
Does it mean that all party political broacasts will be live? & feature hands massaging the tension from our beloved leaders necks as they speak? & that any lie will cause sudden spasm in those hands? & give said leaders somewhat of a pain in the neck? In proportion to them giving the audience a pain in the neck? Will every political speech on TV be therefore made in hoarse whispers? Strangled tones? Does the very thought of all that make ya laff? Does it seem like a cue to ask http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2 to play The Impossible Dream? Or a cue to ask KIds TV to play clips of Sly S/Arnie S/Steven S/Hulk H/ etc saying, "This is your worst nightmare!" ?? R U crazy? Look, I must post this in time for 10.30am tea break, yes? So let's be serious for a mo' If it means a "Govt of all-party cream of the talent", who would be your dream MP? & who would be your dream MP? & who would be your dream Prime Minister? & why? & who would be your dream Cabinet? & why? Demand ALL party leaders are invited to the leaders' TV debates, not just the 'Big 3', OK? Demand ALL parties pass a Proportional Representation Law NOW, in time for 6 May, OK? If not, why not? If minority parties are all such 'lunatic fringe oddball wierdos', why are Big 3 Party Leaders scared to face 'em down on live TV?

Resolved Question: WWIII World Takeover a Possibility with my idea? (READ DESCRIPTION)?
I had an idea on how the USA could take over the world easily. I'm not for this type of thing but I just had an idea. If three AMERICAN people decided to take ove the world they could. One would become leader of the USA, one the leader of CHINA and the last the leader of RUSSIA. They then would declare war on the world and take over all of it. No chance of nuke prolbmes becing that these three countries have most of the nukes and they are all working together to take over the world. After they take over the world the land gained by CHINA and RUSSIA would be given to the USA because the leaders in CHINA and RUSSIA would be the Americans. ALL three would work together to take over and then give all the land to the USA. All that would need to happen is 2 AMERICANS become leaders in China and Russia and one in the USa and they all work together.
Resolved Question: Names for my character?
She's 17, has long, dark black hair, long, straight bangs, pale ice blue eyes, and is quite fair skinned, porcelain, if you will. Her lips are a rose pink shade. She is very smart and modestly so. She is the leader in her group of 4 friends. She was born in Ireland or France, but moved to America when she was 7. She can get extremely violent at times and is not afraid to get in a fight, but most of the time she is quiet but somewhat of a cynic, as well as a bit outlandish and offstandish. She says and does a lot of strange things without caring what others think of her.She is annoyed by many things. She is constantly lost in a daze of random thoughts and has eyes that can see right through someone. She also uses quite a bit of illegal substances. She lives with her rich alcoholic father who ignores her. Her surname is Frost. Here is a picture: http://images.fashionmodeldirectory.com/model/000000229290-lilah_parsons-fit.jpg If you'd like, you can include a surname. Like I said, she is either from France or Ireland, so you may use names from those countries. I need ideas here! :)
