Open Question: Work 401k is just sitting in a money market account, what shall i do?
I want to open a target retirement roth ira in addition to my 401k. or should i contact my 401k provider and switch the funds into a target type fund? or should i set up a new roth ira in a target fund i am researching? I dont really want my work money mixed up with the extra im going to contribute (its a small biz and they are weird and they have this stupid vested time for 3 yrs etc etc). So i geuss my q is: 1. What to do with my 401k which is in a money market a/c not doing alot. 2. Open a separate roth ira, or just move my existing 401k money into my desired fund and just contribute the extra to my existing 401k?
Open Question: How to improve credit score when I have lots of revolving debt?
My credit score has taken a hit lately due to lots of credit card revolving debt with a high utilization rate. I talked to a financial manager and they suggested doing two things: 1. Take out a line of credit but don't use it. I would still have the same total debt, but with the extra unused line of credit it would reduce the total utilization rate. 2. I have a car loan that is half way paid down with lots of equity value in the car. He suggested lumping some of the credit card debt into a new car loan called an "auto equity package". This would reduce the amount of revolving debt. So my question is, is this a good idea? I'm concerned about option #1 because I heard somewhere else that taking out extra lines of credit can hurt your credit rating. Any help is appreciated. I am in good standing with the payments, so no new payment plan is needed. As much as I would like to pay off all or most of the debt, it is simply not an option at this time. I am in need of a short term boost in credit score so I can get good terms for a major purchse in a few months.

I am in such a bad mood right now and need lifting! I work 2 jobs, and take 6 online classes for a local college. I was LUCKY enough to get a grant before i got my jobs (1 under the table). I work between 64-72 hours a week. You can skip down to the question, or read that paragraph sorry it’s so long lol… Here is my situation I have biology, psych 2, eng 2, two business courses. I (knock on wood) have an A, A, B, right now (before mid-term) in all of my classes except for my business classes! This women is freaking crazy. She makes you write one paper per week for a freaking point, which okay maybe you think it is going to help me towards the test---it typically doesn't. I read the chapter twice, and learn the definitions that is how i always study. Then she puts these tests on and I feel like im reading a foreign language! She doesn't even use any definitions, omg its so awful. She gives you 30 mins to complete a 40 question test and she has 2 essay ?s in there! WTF Then she gives you these papers, you have to have a minimum of 1500 works, okay acceptable. I write it, and she is so f**** meticulous, like "didn't give enough examples, so no credit. Which all of my other classes INCLUDING MY ENG. CLASSES I AM DOING VERY WELL IN. I feel she holds a grudge against me, because when we were supposed to buy the books, she neglected to tell the store that we need the book with the extra material code, and we needed to spend $75.00 EXTRA on it like it is nothingso i said that it was not right, which i prob should have kept my big mouth shut! I have no idea how anyone else in this class feels because it is online.I go to take my test today (that she put on last night), and is due at 3am, i press submit at 2:59 it is loading and by 3 exactly i get an error page saying that it was not submitted. So i email her and she says "you didn't submit it in time!!! Well shame on me for waiting until 2:30 to take it, but I DID SUBMIT THAT AT 2:59. I will take care of that later if i have to, but my problem is.I am taking summer classes and using my grant. Can they take it away? If so what do i need to keep it? On Ps sorry if my thoughts are everywhere im just so upsetwhat grounds can they take it away? I have 2 more papers and 1 more test for this lady and im freaking out….please help calm my nerves :-(

Open Question: Math learning disability?
I am in the 7th grade. Ever since 1st grade, I have been in "math help groups" at school for kids who weren't doing that great in math. Even with the extra help, I've been struggling. I noticed that my problem has been getting worse. For example, just a few weeks ago I thought I had mastered the skill that my teacher wanted me to learn. Then the next day I had no idea how to do that. I don't think I have dyslexia because I never confuse numbers for other numbers. Or letters for other letters. Can someone please tell me whats wrong with me? I really want to be a vet when I grow up but my mom says that I can't because of my poor performance in math. Thanks.
Voting Question: Traffic ticket with insurance violation payment?
I got a speeding ticket with a insurance violation because I didn't have my insurance card with me at the time. I know that if I prove that I have insurance the ticket fee will get reduced. Do I just send the court proof of my insurance with the stub of the ticket checked 'proof of correction enclosed,' with the extra fee payment in the provided envelope? Then I should get a new ticket with a reduced amount? I'm just wondering if I need to send in the ticket stub as well that I got. Thanks for your help. The essay is based on a college essay. The question is at the top. Can anyone help me revise it in any way. Thanks Have you ever struggled mightily for something and succeeded? What made you successful? There are many times in my life when I struggled for something and succeeded. Many of these examples occurred in my years at Linganore High School; with AP Calculus, AP Biology, and AP United States History courses. Derivatives, integrals, definite integrals, antiderivatives, are just some of the math skill you need to understand for AP Calculus. I hardly understood any of these concepts that we have covered in class so far. To make up for this problem I have devoted myself to study hours on end each and every day to grasp the concepts presented to that day. However, even with the extra studying I still find difficulties in understanding the concepts. It then occurred to me I would need to study even more and get extra practice in order to grasp the skills. I went through both of my calculus books looking for problems that were related to the curriculum. Many people say that you learn from your mistakes and I proved that true, whenever I would get a problem on a test or quiz wrong I would go home and find my errors. It helped me realize my weaknesses and strengths for that specific topic. What made me successful in this class is my determination to achieve a high grade and successfully master calculus. Another example of me struggling is in AP Biology. I also spend long hours and in this class to understand the curriculum. The very first unit from term 1, I thought the class would be straightforward like honors Biology, but I was mistaken. I ended up getting a “C” on my first unit exam, that’s when I realized that I had to change my studying habits and work harder if I wanted to be successful in the class. Some nights the daily reading homework will take me to 1 or 2 a.m. in the morning. The previous unit was to understand the classification of animals and the different parts of viruses. Some vocabulary from the unit included eyrysrchseots, crenarchaeota, and many other vocabulary words. I had never heard these words nor did I understand what they meant. I spent hours making flashcards and reviewing the course material so I could succeed in the class. When test day came I was well prepared and had no difficulties that day. When I got my score the next day I had achieved my goal and successfully got an A on the unit exam. What made me successful in this class is my fascination of science and my love for biology. Just one more example of my struggles came from AP United States History. This class also forced me to stay up late into the night to study for the test the next day. Since the beginning of this semester I have been vigorously been studying for this class. I got a “B” for term 1 and 2; I was devastated by these grades. I am not usually satisfied with B’s on my report card so I got to work immediately. I started reading my book in more depth and reviewing my notes everyday for 45 minutes. I also got an outside book that gave me more information and quick summary of the major facts I need to know for the AP exam. So far through term 3 I’m putting my full effort in order to get an A for this term and the upcoming term. So far I have been fulfilling my goal by having an A in the class. What made me successful in this class was my reaction to the grades I got 1st semester. The grades were like an alarm clock that made me realize I need to work harder in this class. These courses from my junior year at Linganore High School have drastically changed my life physically and socially. The courses were physically demanding because it wouldn’t allow me rest or take a break from my studies. The classes were also socially demanding because I could not hang out with my friends or have any fun during the school year. Resolved Question: Fitness Tips Please for an overweight woman!?
My job involves walking, so I walk an average of 4 hours a day sometimes more, walking dogs. I'm overweight, I gained all of my weight in university and now that I'm out of university I'm having a hard time losing weight. I gained all of my weight from eating pasta, because I was low on cash and it was the cheapest thing I could find. I know i'm out of shape outside of walking, because running I can only do fora maximum of five minutes at a time before I give up. I used to run more but with the extra weight its more painful rather than anything. What are some tips for someone bigger to try to get fit without hurting myself, as I need my body for my income, I can't be hurting like crazy while trying to hold back my more aggressive dogs. I've cut pasta out of my diet, but any other ideas or tips would be great.

I'm thinking about selling mark. cosmetics. I'm 19 years old and attending college for a degree in business management. I understand I will not make a living and I don't plan on selling mark. to make a great deal of money, I just think it will be fun and something my friends and classmates will be interesting in buying and love. I'm very concerned with giving them my credit card number but I understand it is necessary, so my first question is what exactly do they charge your credit card for? I am aware of the $20 start up fee, and the orders that are placed will obviously be charged on my card as well, but what else is there? How much is shipping for the products and do I have to pay for that as well? To my understanding, there isn't a monthly amount of orders I have to place, correct? A lot of things I am reading online is that people order a large amount of product expecting it to sell and then are stuck with the extra and can not return it. Would it be reasonable to only order product when there is a request from a customer? I understand I'll have to buy product for myself and for sampling purposes so they can see it on someone, but other than that I don't see why I should have to order large sums to sell with out people ordering it in the first place. Resolved Question: If I collected unemployment all year in florida and I am a single mom of 2 can i get the EIC?
I did not work all year in 2009. I was collecting unemployment compensation. I do have 2 children under 5 and I am a single mother. I did not have taxes withheld from my unemployment checks. Am I still eligable for the Earned income tax Credit? Do I have to pay taxes on the Unemployment recieved? It was $12,844 but with the extra 25/week it was around $14,000. I will try and keep this as short as possible as its a bit of a long story, anyway this all started 3 years ago. I was getting treatment for health issues which were pretty serious, then we found out my grandmother, who helped raise me, had bone cancer so we had to prepare ourselves for the worst only then to get a phone call about my grandfather being taken into hospital with pancreatic cancer and he didnt have long, 1st flight to scotland in June to see him and found out while I was there that I was pregnant, finally some good newsanyway 2nd flight to scotland in August for a holiday, arrived on the monday only for my grandfather to pass away on the Friday and the funeral was held the day before I came back to Canada, so came back to Canada with some comfort of the fact that I was pregnant. Finished work at the end of January and had my baby boy mid feb.What a high!! Only to be brought back down by my brother (and sons only uncle) being killed in a motorbike accident, then my husband had to declare bankruptcy, now I am back at work to find out that my boss has cut my pay and with the extra expense my darling baby boy comes with I just dont see how we can survive. I am constantly shaking and feel extremely sick. I just feel like there is just never EVER gonna be a happy ending for me.Am I destined to be sad my whole life. I just want to get thin. Thin arms, thin legs, thin fingers, thin waist. Just thin. Don't start yelling at me, I'm not talking about model anorexic type thin, but just thin. I'm actually not fat. I was really excited and glad to see the race end up with JR 2nd, but I will admit that it was good fortune that he got the opportunity for that to happen. Even with the extra chances to gain spots, he made it happen and nearly won, but he seemed disappointed that he didn't win. I understand that he wanted to win, but I think that this shows a lot about Dale JR's mindset right now. Last year, he would've taken that finish and ran, but this year is different. Resolved Question: Stunted growth? Reversing it an option?
I think I stunted my growth about 4 years ago (when I was about 13). I'm 5'2", and the next shortest in my family is my sister who is 5'4" & 1/2. My dad is 5'10" and my mom is about 5'4" My other two sisters are 5'6" & 5'5". I HATE being so short. Even with the extra two inches, I'd be way happier. I used to have a sort of eating disorder where I would have problems consuming anything over about 9 grams of fat in a day and with that lost about a pound every two days. That lasted for about 6-8 months (near the end, I was about 5'1" & 3/4). And then I gained the weight back that I had lost. I got really stressed out over that, and ever since then have been yo-yoing up and down. Finally, this year, I've started to lose some weight again. I AM a little chubby, so losing weight isn't going to make me into a skeleton. I just need to lose about 15-20 pounds. My question: is there anyway I can reverse my "stunted growth"?

I want to buy this system but I need to know some things first. My mother is overweight, like most Americans, and she lost a lot of weight using the Weight Watchers diet but after she injured her ankle she took a break from working out to let it heal. She just hasn't gotten back on the diet or continued exercising. She has always been overweight, like all of her family. I'm curious as to what her results would be. My father is also overweight, but in a much worse way. My father's fat is the 'hard fat'. ‘Hard fat’ is, obviously, hard and is IN his organs as well as the rest of his abdominal area. He has the fat inside of his liver, heart, muscle, etc. He has always been a skinny man till he slipped his disks years ago. His doctor told him that if he doesn't loss the fat that it could kill him. I wonder what anyone else who has had this problem had used the P90X and what their results were like. (And before it is said, yes both of them are ABLE to do the workouts. They are both retired military and used to do martial arts.) This last one may be harder. I am 5'2", 93 lbs and a 19 year old female. I used to wrestle in high school and I felt great. My body was toned and I was actually healthy. But after graduation I lost that muscle I had and started to gain fat. I've always been skinny, super skinny, even now with the extra fat. What I want to know is if there are any other small/skinny people who have used P90X and if they just maintained their size or ‘bulked up’ any. I want to buy this to get into shape and live a healthy lifestyle, but if it would help me ‘bulk up’ and gain a ‘normal’ size figure that would be nice too. I want to buy the P90X to help my family get back to our old healthy lifestyle that we used to live and for all of us to get back into shape. Today I was at walmart and there was a black lady infront of me in line getting checked out by a white cashier and the cashier gave too much cash to the black lady by accident. My roommate moved out last semester and this semester I'll have the room all to myself. It's a double/single so I have my desk, dresser, and bed along with hers. The problem is the other bed. It's a humongous waste of space as it is because I'm not using it. I only have a comforter for a twin and I doubt that will fit across both beds (and it's too expensive and really a waste to buy stuff for a queen or something). I just adopted 2 Tokay geckos from the 27,000 exotic animals seized in Arlington, TX and they are extremely malnourished. I am looking for the best imager/webcam to use through my telescope to record the night sky. I own/use a Zhumell dobsonian 10 inch reflector telescope. I understand that it is harder to record through dobsonians due to them not tracking night sky objects but I have no problem with the extra struggle to keep up with moving objects. I have heard that the Phillips toucam pros are REALLY good for astrophotography purposes BUT I havent been able to find one of these anywhere online. Everywhere I look they are always out of stock. If you happen to know where any new or used [models 1, 2, or 3] are being sold PLEASE post a link. I have my eye on another product called the Celestron NexImage Solar System Imager. I am wandering if this would be better or even comparable to the Philips toucam or another related product? It is being sold on Amazon for about $86.63 [cheapest I can find it-new] What are your guys opinions about the celestron imager? Is it worth it? and on another note does it record video as well as taking pictures? Post links if you know where a used or new Philips toucam pro is being sold and let me know what you think about the Celestron imager. Also if there are any better webcams or imagers than the ones that I have mentioned , please let me know. I am willing to spend up to $200 or so. Voting Question: A device to increase the number of jacks in a tv?
I have an older tv with only one set of jacks in the back so we are constantly switching out the dvd player and game console. I am considering a Samsung LCD that may have the same issue of limited jacks. Is there a device that would allow us to plug in more devices? What I mean is, let's say you were a nanny for a family and you went to their home to care for their child. Every Friday they leave your money out Friday morning before leaving for work. Let's say you are asked to stay an hour over on Friday and you agree possibly giving up plans you could have made otherwise but you need the money so you agree. Friday comes and the money along with the extra for the hour over are left in the morning for you. Then the other parent ends up getting home early and you don't end up having to stay for the extra hour. question: Should you get to keep the extra hours pay or should you have to give it back since you didn't stay the extra hour? As the parent would you expect the nanny to give it back or at least offer it back, or would you assume she should keep it. I am about to attend an options evening. My daughter is in top set science and they are encouraged to take triple award. However, she stresses in exam conditions and a friend's daughter said she wished she'd taken double rather than triple because her friend had gained a better overall result on the easier option than she had on the harder - even though her friend was a couple of sets lower than her. It has something to do with the extra papers - one of which she blew - and that affected her end result and if she had just taken double would have had a better result to acarry forward. My daughter isn't wanting to go into anything medical and so would prefer to take the double award and so comments from people who know the UK GCSE system would be helpful to me to support her choices. Thanks for the answers so far I have a better understanding. The thing that happened to someone I knew is that she got a B, D and E on triple as they are marked independently and her riend who was of a lesser ability got 2 Bs as a double is marked the same and ultimately she ended up discarding 2 of her results for her final best 8 and yet had done oodles more work.
